City of Austin Home Energy Audits

The City of Austin passed Ordinance No. 20081106-047 adding Chapters 6-7 to the City Code requiring all residential properties within the city limits, 10 years or older, who receive services from the Austin Electric Utility and that are on the market for sale to have an energy audit completed by a certified auditor prior to the property being sold and closed.

Home energy audits are the first step to assess how much energy your home consumes and to evaluate recommendations for improving the efficiency of your home. Our Home Energy Audits are performed by a Registered Austin Energy Auditor, and are in compliance with the City of Austin ECAD Ordinance.
